Watercolor Instruction for
Beginners (昀椀ne art focus)

Dive into the world of watercolor painting where you’ll discover relaxing and fun
techniques and mix pretty colors to create lovely paintings. Each class focuses
on various techniques that de昀椀ne the foundation of watercolor painting. This 昀椀ne
art–level watercolor class is designed for students looking to deepen their skills in
a supportive, hands-on environment. Participants will focus on core techniques,
composition, and artistic development while building con昀椀dence in their
creative process. Guided by an experienced local instructor with a professional
background as both an artist and editor, the class offers thoughtful instruction
by local Watercolor Artist, Megan Swoyer, individualized feedback, and a wellrounded approach to watercolor as a 昀椀ne art practice.
Materials Needed: Watercolor paints in a palette, An empty palette for mixing
if not in your palette of paints already, Watercolor paper pad, 9 x 12, 140 pound,
cold press, 2 b pencil, of昀椀ce eraser (not eraser on the pencil), table salt (in Ziplock
bag), white crayon or white taper candle, two or three watercolor brushes that
range in size from 1 to 6 (round brushes, not 昀氀at)
Optional Supply Kit Students may purchase a complete supply kit directly from
the instructor for $45, payable in cash on the 昀椀rst day of class. To reserve a supply

Basic Machine Sewing

Learn the basics of sewing machine operation, including self-threading and
mastering the straight stitch. Build con昀椀dence with essential stitching skills for
beginners. Max number of Attendees: 3. Duration: 3 hrs.
