Most of our students are preparing to be in or already in band or orchestra at school, and have enrolled
in private lessons with us to get them the help they need in their music, learn additional solo repertoire or
audition for a higher chair in their band or orchestra. Our instructors have been extremely successful in
helping students to reach their goals and succeed in their school ensemble.
BRASS & WOODWINDS FOR BEGINNERS: All of our brass and woodwinds instructors love working with beginners
and have experience creating a structured program to help students master foundational aspects such as
good posture, embouchure, breathing, intonation, tone production, note-reading, rhythm, theory, and more
while ensuring that the student is having a positive experience and loving their lessons. Whether your child is
preparing to start a wind instrument in school soon, or whether they just want to give one of these beautiful
instruments a try, our instructors will help to create a strong foundation.
BRASS & WOODWINDS FOR EXPERIENCED STUDENTS: Whether students come to us with prior experience from
their school orchestra or a private teacher, or whether they started with us as beginners and continued to
advance, we know how to help them reach their next goal. Intermediate or advanced brass and woodwind
students learn how to play more challenging music and 昀椀ne-tune and polish their playing by mastering more
advanced techniques and theoretical applications. Whether students want to learn a new style, prepare for
a competition or audition, or just keep playing for fun, we have the skills and experience to get them there.

Private Drum Lessons

Drums are one of the most fun instruments anyone can learn and are a great choice for kids and adults alike!
We offer weekly private drum lessons to students starting at age 6 and have 30, 45, and 60-minute lessons
available. We teach a variety of different styles such as rock, pop, jazz, latin, classical percussion, and more.
Learn to play the beats to your favorite songs, or improve percussion technique for your band at school. If
your little one is full of energy and banging on pots and pans at home, drum lessons can be a great creative
outlet!
DRUM LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS: All of our drum instructors love working with beginners, and have experience
creating a structured program to help students master all the foundational aspects of not only drumming
technique, but also rhythm, theory, and reading music. Instructors use both method books and the student’s
favorite songs to teach concepts, generally starting with the snare drum and quickly moving to use the entire
drum set. Our drum rooms have two full acoustic sets so the instructor can demonstrate on one set while the
student plays on the other.
DRUMS FOR EXPERIENCED STUDENTS: Whether students have been self-taught, have experience from another
instructor or school, or gained all their experience at Expressions, we know how to help them reach the next
goal. Intermediate or advanced drum or percussion students learn how to play more challenging music and
昀椀ne-tune and polish their playing by mastering more advanced techniques and theoretical applications.
Whether students want to learn a new style, prepare for a high school or college audition, get good enough to
join a band, or just keep playing for fun, our instructors have the knowledge and experience to get them there.

PIANO FOR BEGINNERS: All of our piano instructors love working with beginners and have experience creating
a structured program to help students master all the foundational aspects of not only piano technique, but
also rhythm, theory, and reading music. Beginning students at Expressions have a blast playing amazing
songs from day one while learning these critical foundations.
PIANO FOR EXPERIENCED STUDENTS: Whether students come to us with prior experience from another school
or teacher, or whether they started with us as beginners and continued to advance, we know how to help
them reach their next goal. Intermediate or advanced students learn how to play more challenging music
and 昀椀ne-tune and polish their playing by mastering more advanced techniques and theoretical applications.
