Drama
Reader’s Theatre is an engaging, performance-based literacy experience where
stories come alive through voice, movement, and collaboration. Students step
into the roles of characters, using scripts to guide expressive reading while
building 昀氀uency, comprehension, and con昀椀dence. Each session blends reading
with drama as students practice pacing, tone, and emotion to bring meaning
to text. Through group rehearsals and performances, students learn to interpret
characters, understand dialogue, and work together as an ensemble enjoying
stories in a dynamic way. In addition, students will have opportunities to
participate in interactive theater games that spark creativity, strengthen focus,
and encourage teamwork. Taught by: Vanessa Jajou (5th Grade Teacher)

Creative Literacy Lab is a hands-on enrichment class where students explore
stories through reading, writing, and art. Each session connects literature to creative
projects that build imagination, con昀椀dence, and storytelling skills. Students respond
to stories through painting, mixed-media collage, stick puppet storytelling, comic
strip design, and more. These activities help students retell stories, understand
characters and sequence, and express ideas through words and images.
This class encourages imagination, con昀椀dence, and communication as students
grow as readers, writers, and artists in a creative, story-driven environment. Taught
