Engineering & Digital Manufacturing Systems (108724/208724)

This course satisfies ½ credit of math related graduation requirement. Students will complete projects in mechatronic systems
combining computer-based controllers with electrical, mechanical, and fluid technologies. This course introduces Programmable
Controller (PLC) programming and applications. During the second semester, students will complete projects in Digital Enterprise
Systems combining PLC’s, Robotics, and Cloud Technologies. This course will introduce students to Networking, CAM, CloudBased Data Collection and Lean Manufacturing. Students must have completed Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing.
Automotive Technology
This automotive program equips students with hands-on skills and knowledge to navigate various career paths. The curriculum covers
fundamental automotive systems, including electrical, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and engine performance.

Automotive Technology 1 (Held at Troy High) (107003/207003)

This course satisfies 1 credit of math related graduation requirement. Automotive Technology 1 student should have an interest in the
automotive field. Students will explore countless career pathways, develop hands-on skills, and learn how to safely work in an
automotive lab setting. Students can expect instruction to be delivered through the forms of visual-aids, lecture, and hands-on
experiences. Topics include automotive fundamentals, internal combustion engines, transmissions, and more. Excellent course option
for students that are also interested in the engineering career pathway. Instruction meets NATEF Automotive Maintenance and Light
Repair standards.

2- Hour Block class
2.0 credits
This course satisfies the math related graduation requirement. Automotive Technology 2 students will further develop their
skills and knowledge in automotive technology. This program prepares students for careers as entry- level automotive
technicians. Emphasis will be placed on Electrical, Steering and Suspension, Brakes, Heating and Air conditioning, and Engine
Performance. 2-Hour block scheduling allows for additional hands-on time in the automotive lab. Instruction meets NATEF
Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair standards. Students must have completed Auto Technology 1.

Full year 1.0 credit
These courses satisfies 1 credit of math related graduation requirement. These courses will provide a more complete overview
of the internal combustion engine including emission systems, fuel injection, air and pollution control. The transmission, axle,
brakes (including anti-lock brakes), and both front-end and four-wheel alignment will be studied. Hands-on experience with
vehicles will be an integral part of this class. Students must have completed Automotive Technology 2.
