Advanced Marketing (005258)

This course satisfies ½ credit of math related graduation requirement. Students must have completed Marketing or AP Business with
Personal Finance to be enrolled in this course. This advanced marketing course builds upon foundational business knowledge and
prepares students for higher-level marketing concepts and real-world application. Students will explore strategic pricing, conduct indepth marketing research, and interpret data through marketing analytics to make informed business decisions. The course also
examines supply chain management and business operations, giving students a full view of how products move from creation to
consumer. In addition, students will engage in career development activities that strengthen professional skills and support future
pathways in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship.
School Based Enterprise (School Store) (105113/205113)
12th grade
Full year 1.0 credit
This course satisfies 1 credit of math related graduation requirement. Students must have completed Marketing or AP Business
with Personal Finance and Advanced Marketing or Sports & Entertainment Marketing to be enrolled in this course. This course
also requires teacher approval. Students apply what they have learned in previous marketing courses to assist in running an
actual retail operation. Students will gain actual on-the-job training by managing and operating a school store that sells schoolrelated articles such as clothing, supplies, and novelties.
Career Preparation
Work-Based Learning gives students meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect classroom learning to real career environments.
Through ongoing, increasingly challenging interactions with employers and community professionals—whether on-site or in highquality simulated settings—students get an authentic look at the responsibilities, tools, and expectations of various career fields. These
experiences are intentionally aligned with curriculum and Career & Technical Education standards, ensuring students build practical
skills, confidence, and clarity about their future pathways. By engaging directly with industry mentors and real workplace tasks,
students gain a powerful head start on college, careers, and lifelong success.
Career Capstone (005320)
Grades 11-12
1 Semester 0.5 credit
Students must be a completer in a business pathway (Finance, BAMO or Marketing) to be enrolled in this course. The CTE
Career Capstone is a culminating experience designed to prepare students for college, careers, and real-world professional
environments. Students build a strong professional identity by developing a résumé, LinkedIn profile, and digital portfolio
showcasing their CTE work. Throughout the course, students engage in professional-based learning projects that mirror
authentic industry challenges and collaborate with business partners to design meaningful solutions. Students refine their
employability skills through formal interview practice, career coaching, job-shadow opportunities, and reflective activities
that strengthen their understanding of workplace expectations. By the end of the course, students will graduate with a polished
professional toolkit that supports future job applications, internships, apprenticeships, and postsecondary pathways.
Business Internship (CTE Program Completer) (105023/205023)
Grades 11-12
Full year 1-2 credit potential
Students must be a completer in a business pathway (Finance, BAMO or Marketing) to be enrolled in this course. The student receives
up to 2.0 credits for work experience (at least 10 hours per week and 200 hours per semester). This course requires counselor and
WBL Coordinator approval.
Business Internship (Non-CTE Program Completer) (108844/208844)
Grades 11-12
Full year 1-2 credit potential
Students work placement must align with student’s educational development plan (EDP). This course is designed to offer credit
to a student that is currently working in a part-time job relating to their career goals. Students may receive up to 2.0 credits for
work experience. If paid, students must work a minimum of 10 hours per week. If unpaid, students must not exceed 45 hours
per specific training experience. This course requires counselor and WBL Coordinator approval.
