Algebra 1 (103043/203043)
Grades 9-10
Full year 1.0 Credit
Meets NCAA requirements
This course focuses on modeling relationships and constraints using expressions, equations, and functions. Multiple representations
of linear, absolute value, quadratic, and exponential functions will be used to develop a deep understanding of these function
families. Students will solve linear equations and inequalities, and systems of linear equations using a variety of methods. Students
will study equivalent forms of linear and quadratic equations to understand characteristics of their graphs and to utilize different
solution pathways. This course builds foundational math skills used throughout high school. Students who successfully complete
this course will be prepared for Geometry.
